Domain name change

    Hello, I accidentally changed my wordpress domain name from sotout.wordpress.com to sotoutnc.wordpress.com. This is for an opioid awareness campaign and we have printed the old domain on promotional items. How do I get my old domain back?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    sotout.wordpress.com is no longer available.
    The authors have deleted this site.

    If you deleted that address less than 30 days ago add the word modlook to the tag box here on the far right and a member of staff can restore it to your account. You will need to export/import content from the new site address to that one yourself though.

    Hi,
    you just need to go to Domains, click the current domain and Change Site Address. Hopefull it was not taken in a meanwile :)

    @dariazet alas, if they already used (especially deleted) an address they won’t be able to get it back that easily. But we can at least restore the deleted address for them.

    @sotout thanks for reaching out.

    I was able to restore sotout.wordpress.com for you. It’s blank right now, so you’ll want to export from the current site and import back to that one.

    Or, you could get a redirect upgrade that sends people from the old address to the new one. That would be a good option if you like the new address and just want people to still be able to access it in spite of what’s printed on the card.
