Domain Name Change

    I have made a WordPress website for affiliate marketing by using Amazon AWS and Bitnami. I’ve also purchased a Go Daddy domain name called ‘briskadz.com’. On Go Daddy I’ve set the domain name to the IP of the of my website (34.243.181.36) however it doesn’t change. Also, if I type that Go Daddy domain name into the browser it comes up with this message: ’34.wordpress.com doesn’t exist’. One last thing is that on my website’s WordPress dashboard I also can’t change my URL form ‘http://34.243.181.36’, I don’t know if that helps tho. Could you please tell me how to change my website’s domain name?

    Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

    Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
