Domain name change prize and subscription

Hi, I am new to your forum but I have a personnal premium account since 2016. Recently, I created a website for an independent new entrepreneur and he chose a domain name. Now, it needs to change, so I am searching the best way to buy a new domain name and redirect traffic from the old one to the new. I know it’s not good for SEO but I can’t keep the old domain name.
It is supposed to cost me between 18-26 dollars to buy a new domain, but when I arrive to the bill step, I am asked to pay much more, 208 dollars. Why? And I still don’t know if it will work!

It is impossible to help you if you don’t tell me the exact site and domains involved. For which site are you trying to change the domain, what is the domain you want to replace, and what is the new domain you’re trying to add?
Do you want to cancel the existing domain, or do you just want to add an additional domain to the site that will be the new primary domain?

I used ModLock because the administrator of WordPress.org told me to do so.
If you click on my name, you will be redirected to the blog I am talking about. The actual domain name is ecosapiens.org. The new name would be cernunnos-ecole nature-bushcraft.org
I Want to buy cernunnos-ecole-nature-buschcraft.org and redirect traffic from ecosapiens towards cernunnos… until july 2017, before it expires. Because of SEO and Communication matters, it is better to keep ecosapiens for a while, because his business cards and other communication tools are identified with that domain name.
I have a personnal account and I will switch to Premium soon. I used my account to create that blog for my friend.

Go to My Site ->Switch Site and make sure you have the ecosapiens site selected. Then click on Domains ->Add and add the new domain. You should not be prompted to add a plan.

The reason it’s trying to charge you $208 is because you have several other domains and a Premium Plan in your shopping cart. You can remove those from here:

Please keep in mind that you also have a G Suite email address at the ecosapiens.org domain. Once that domain expires, that email will also stop working.
