How long does it take for a domain name to become available it was recently changed? I am trying to get the name of my old site onto my new page.

So that’s not actually the blog I was looking to change.
I had ameliaritter.wordpress.com yesterday and wanted to keep the site but change the name, bringing the ameliaritter domain to a new site for a portfolio.
The site I would like changed is ameliaritt.wordpress.com
It says the name I’d like has already been used, but it was used by me and it not longer is in use. Did I ruin it?

The authors have deleted this site.

Is that the address you wish to recover?

Hmm. I’m not sure what you mean when you say you want the domain to be the other domain.

Let’s start here though: right now only ameliamsu.wordpress.com has any posts on it. Is that address fine as is, or did you want to move that content to one of the other addresses?

As for the other addresses, they’re basically blank slates since there is not much content on them. You’re welcome to change the themes or add whatever content you’d like. We have a great guide for getting started here:

If you wanted the content for ameliamsu to be moved to one of those addresses, you can export from that site (via https://wordpress.com/settings/ > export) and then import into the site you want (via https://wordpress.com/settings/import )

OR, if you mean you’d like to redirect those addresses, so that when someone types or clicks on one address they’re automatically taken to the address of your choice, let us know and we’ll help set that up.

I basically would like all content from ameliaritter.wordpress.com to move to ameliamsu.wordpress.com so I can rebuild ameliaritter and something else.

https://ameliaritter.wordpress.com/ is completely empty, so I’m not sure what you want to move. It looks like all your content is already on ameliamsu.wordpress.com – you did a site address change, and that automatically moves everything to the new site.

The old address, ameliaritter.wordpress.com (which we restored for you) was automatically deleted during this process, but it was already completely emptied before it was deleted.
