Domain Name Creation

    Hi. I want to purchase a domain name and hosting for my wordpress site. For $% a month I can get all of that and free domain registry for one year. After that how much is domain name registry. Can I register a domain name and use that and still continue on the hosting plan for $5 a month. It seems the domain names registry through WordPress is a bit more expensive then necessary. I also want to secure the name into the future. Any suggestion? Thank you!

    When you register a domain with WordPress.com it is renewed annually at $18/year which is included within the plans.
