domain name deregistration

  I cancelled the domain name I registered with WordPress.com in order to use it on WordPress.org using Bluehost. I want to make sure my domain name was indeed deregistered and when it will be available for me to secure with Bluehost?

  Are you speaking of very-opinionated.com?

  Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as when you cancel a domain, you give up ownership of it, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.

  In this case, this domain should become available again early in next week.
