Domain Name Expired

  It appears my domain name didn’t auto renew. How can I reinstate the domain I had before for the $18/year?

  Hi @michaeljwickham sorry to hear that. At this point the registrar has the domain in redemption status, where they will put it up for auction and try to sell it for a higher price. If no one buys, they will release the domain and you can buy it again for a normal price, so long as no one else buys first. That’s a risky option and it takes quite a while (the full expiration through redemption process is around 80 days). If someone else buys it first, you will not be able to get it back at all.

  To get it out of redemption, we have to pay the registrar $80 in addition to renewal fees, then they’ll return it to us and we can return it to your account.

  Please let us know whether you’d like an invoice or whether you want to try waiting it out. Domain redemptions (and expirations for that matter) are pretty time sensitive, so let us know right away. Thanks!

  I’ve sent you a payment link via email. Once we receive your payment we can email our domain provider to restore the domain.
