Domain name expired – need it back!!!

    I have just taken over handling this website and found the domain name has expired. It looks as though we are in the Redemption period. The domain name is: kindredproject.org. I need to get this back up and running as quickly as possible!!! Help!!!

    What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL please?
    Dud the blog’s owner transfer it to you?

    Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under that username account and associated email address. That blog wonder can transfer the blog to another username account.

    If that has not taken place then you need to contact the blog’s owner and have her act on this. The blog’s onwer must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased upgrades to renew them or transfer the blogs and the upgrades to another username account.

    To transfer a blog from one username account A to another username account B the blog’s owner must first log in under the username account A that owns the blog you want to transfer to the other username account.

    Then the blog’s owner adds the other username account B as an Admin of the blog. adding users http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
    user roles http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

    Then you A can use this process to transfer the blog to that username account B instead http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

    I’m new to all this and not that familiar with WordPress so please bear with me. The underlying WordPress URL is: kindredprojectdotorg1.wordpress.org. The owner made me an Admin on the blog and we understood that would give me full access to renewing, purchasing upgrades, etc. Can I go ahead and pay to renew and redeem the domain name?

    The domain has been restored to your account. It appears though that it’s been set to point to a site on Weebly.com. Is this correct? Let me know if you need any help in pointing it back to your WordPress.com blog. Thanks!
