Domain Name Forwarding
-
I recently bought a domain name and hosting from godaddy.com, and am currently working on building (using WP blogging software, of course) a website. My question is this: Am I allowed by WP.com policy, to temporarily forward/redirect that domain to my current blog? I re-read the policies a couple months ago and don’t recall mention of anything like this, but I would like to be certain so as not to get myself deactivated. I plan on leaving my blog up even after I have my website built, but while the site is under construction it would be nice to have a placeholder.
Note that I am NOT talking about the site redirect available for purchase on wordpress.com, which would go from blog.wordpress.com to my new domain. It is similar, but goes in the other direction.
Now, there are two ways for me to forward. One is so that the redirect leaves the blog.wordpress.com url, and the other is so the redirect masks blog.wordpress.com. Could I do either of these or just the first one?
Any response would be appreciated.
