domain name gone before I finished registering it. How could this happen?

I was in the process of buying/registering a domain name and left it for an hour and when I tried to finish process the domain name was unavailable? I did not give my credit card number there is no billing history. How could this have happened?

It said I could map the domain name that I wanted for an extra charge- so I tried that on the off chance I had somehow registered it. But now I’m completely lost. I have to go to reconfigure the name servers. Help!

We had an error with domain registrations over the weekend. The issue is cleared up now though if you’ll re-attempt the registration.
According to this public search, the domain emilysinagra.com is still available for registration. Without that registration, the domain mapping you purchased doesn’t really do anything. So I cancelled the domain mapping upgrade and refunded your WordPress.com account with credits.
Those credits will be applied to the cost of registering emilysinagra.com, which you can do here:
