  My domain name expired. That’s fine with me. Can I just use the name for my blog that I used before. The domain name I purchased was 3rdlawblog.com. I’m fine with it just being what it originally was; 3rdlawblog.wordpress.com.

  When I tried to do this, the following message appeared.
  “My Domains
  Canceling 3rdlawblog.com
  You cannot cancel this domain because it was not registered with WordPress.com. Please contact support.”

  Well, here I am: contacting support.

  3rdlawblog.com – is in Redemption (not renewed but not yet released to the public, still being held by the Registrar – you still have some claim to the name
