Domain Name is not valid

  I am trying to setup a domain I own, but every time I request to map it, it gives me this error “The domain name you entered does not appear to be valid.”

  I own the domain and purchased it from Hover.com. The domain is astralis.photography. Does wordpress not allow the use of nonconventional domains, or is this domain still so new wordpress doesn’t even recognize it as a valid domain yet?
