Domain name is taken?

  Hai guys!
  Okay, well, I deleted my blog so that I could start over and pretend I had never had it… But now it says the domain name is taken when I try to start a new one. Is there any way I can free up the name? Because I DID delete it, so I don’t see why it says it’s in use…
  Help me please?
  (I know, deleting it was a dumb idea…)

  There is absolutely no way. That’s why there are all these warning notices on the email and your dashboard about it. What you can do is get the domain mapping upgrade and use Whatever.com instead of whatever.wordpress.com.

  Pick a new name – name are never recycled even to the original owner – that is why the click three times to delete – you can also register a name (your-new-name.com) and map it to a site here.

  PS – to others that might read this – there is NOTHING that can’t be undone so that you can start over with the original name as long as the name is not deleted. Lots of helpful people here that can help people start over of change what they did with their site.

  Thanks guys. I understand now… I have a better name now anyways.
  Yes I know no one has my old name, I was just wondering why it showed up like someone did.
