Domain Name Issue
-
Hello. The website I had already created was not going so well and I wanted to start another site with the same domain name. I changed the original website’s name so I could use the name I wanted on the second one I was making. Now, I can’t use the name on either one. Is there a way to fix this so that I can have my old domain name back? Thank you.

It was very clearly stated when you changed the name of your site, I quote “Once you change the “example” part of example.wordpress.com, the old address will stop working. Visitors will not be redirected to your new site address. The old address will not be available for use again.” You even had to confirm this twice.

Hi there!
I saw your question in an email sent to [email protected], and I’ve responded there as well. I was able to restore your account, and the deleted sites.
It is true that a URL can only be used one time, and if it’s edited or deleted, it’s no longer available for a new site. I’m hoping one of the deleted sites that was restored may be one you can use for your project. Please feel free to reach out to us by email, or here, if you have other questions.
Thank you!
