Domain Name Issue and Hosting

I have a domain name that is registered and HOSTED through my normal web site hosting company. The site was designed in ‘wordpress’ and published to this hosting account. I am trying to edit in wordpress but I don’t understand the instructions. If I update the DNS entries at godaddy to point to wordpress.com how will it know my site is actually sitting on another third party hosting account or do I need to ‘publish’ it again to my wordpress account (and how do I do that?)

satoriyachtcharter.com is using self-hosted WordPress.org on an external hosting provider. You can use JetPack plugin on your site to connect it with your WordPress.com account. See the instructions here.
Having said that, this forum provides assistance to WordPress.com hosted sites only and the guidance provided here won’t be relevant to WordPress.org sites hosted with an external hosting provider.
