Domain name issues

  When signing up and creating my doamin name It was supposed to be beauty-in-simplicity.com. But after I set it up it came out to be beautyinsimplicitydotcom.wordpress.com. How am I able to fix this?

  Hi Kaylee. It looks like you forgot step 5 here.
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/register-domain/
  Follow it, and your visitors will no longer see the __.wordpress.com address when they visit your blog.

  Thanks! But If I do purchase the name will it take away the “dotcom” part in the domain name? I don’t want the extra dot com after simplicity.

  It doesn’t matter if your __.wordpress.com address contains the words “dotcom”.

  Your visitors will still see your actual __.com address only… as long as you follow my suggestion.
