Domain name maping problem, DNS doesn’t recognize domain ?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

I tried to map the domain name musiker.lu (that I own) and I got the error message under upgrades/domain tab in wordpress :

    Possible problem with musiker.lu
We were unable to verify that musiker.lu is pointing to WordPress.com. etc …

So I contacted the company that sold me the domain an told them to remove any existing nameservers and add the following, NS1.WORDPRESS.COM, NS2.WORDPRESS.COM, NS3.WORDPRESS.COM and here is the mail they sent me :

    We have put the nameservers
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM/NS2.WORDPRESS.COM/NS3.WORDPRESS.COM in our database for the
domain name musiker.lu, however the nameservers do not recognize the said
domain name. Then we can not activate the domain name musiker.lu.

So please contact your web hoster and let us know when the DNS are well
configurated for the domain name musiker.lu.

No I’m lost ? Should I buy credits first ? But the FAQs an the forums pretend that you will only be able to purchase credits “until the nameservers have been changed and verified as being correct.”

    Thnaks for your help,

    Laurent
