domain name mapping

  • Unknown's avatar

I have transferred and deleted my wordpress sites but my domain (purchased elsewhere) refuses to point anywhere but at wordpress. This is the message I get:

Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.

As I no longer want it to point to WP and have done all I can at the new end to transfer the domain and the name servers, what else do I need to do?

    Thanks for your help

My former blog address (now deleted anyway) was germanics.wordpress.com
    The domain name was germanics.co.uk

  • It looks like your nameservers were just changed today.

It can take domain changes up to 72 hours (though usually much less) to propagate to your ISP. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.
