Domain name mapping

  Hi,

  I have already purchased a domain name with another server (JustHost) and would like to have my wordpress website associated with that domain name. I have two questions:

  1. I currently have the free wordpress plan and so when I click ‘Add Domain’ it gives me the option to map my domain for free of $17. Does that mean I can just pay the $17 to map it? I do not need the additional features found in the personal/premium/business plans so it would be ideal if I could just map the domain name.

  2. If I do indeed need an additional plan, is it possible to map my domain name to a personal subscription plan or do I need a premium/business subscription?

  If you’ve purchased the domain elsewhere, and wish to map the domain to your site hosted on WordPress.com, you’ll need a Premium or Business plan on your site:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  Feel free to refer to that page for help on mapping the domain once you’ve upgraded your account.
