Domain name mapping

  I bought a domain name and would like to map it to my wordpress website, but do NOT want the premium upgrade. I only want to have my site be found using the domain name I purchased elsewhere because the premium is too expensive or I would have gotten the domain name through wordpress with the premium package. It says to map it it’s only 13USD, but won’t allow me to just map it. It is wanting me to upgrade to the premium package, which is NOT what I want.

  You will need one of the upgrade plans to use a custom domain name here on WordPressdotcom. You can use the domain credit included in the plan to either register a new domain or map a domain you already own.

  If you are defaulting to the Premium upgrade plan, add and pay for the Personal plan first before trying to add your domain mapping.
