Domain Name & Mapping

  Hello,

  I just bought my domain through yahoo.com [tylatimes.com]. I’ve forwarded that domain to my wordpress.com domain. Now, if I setup mapping so that tylatimes.com is pointing at tylatimes.wordpress.com, will my permalink change to tylatimes.com/blahblahblah? Or are there additional steps after I map it that I need to follow in order for that to occur. ?

  Did you purchase a domain mapping upgrade form WordPress.com and map to an existing domain or not?

  I don’t think I said that I bought mapping. The only thing I bought is my domain name from yahoo.

  You are forwarding and masking (concealing the original URL)

  Yes – your visitors will see a regular address in their Browser address bar

  Do you have email to tylatimes.com? If so you will need to make some changes to keep the email working – you can use Google Aps for email

  Yes, I do (email). However, it’s not anything I’m using at the time. So, I’m not really concerned with that at this time. Thank you!
