  I own an existring dotcom URL. I want to shut that site down and move to wordpress as a blog. Will wordpress redirect my old website address to the new wordpress blog. I want users to be able to type in my existing .com site name and be taken to the /wordpress.com blog. In advance, thanks

  You can purchase a domain mapping upgrade for a free hosted wordpress.com blog and map from it to an existing domain.
