domain name mapping; paypal
-
I wanted to map a domain name I’ve used before(springvibes.com), and pay via Paypal. However, some kind of problem appears to happen and I am being told to pay via credit card although there is enough money on my Paypal account(had no problems with other online stores, fyi).
Can you please help me solve this issue since I really would love to jumpstart my blog again? :)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Paypal (our payment processor) dictates what payments they will accept, I’m afraid. I would encourage you to contact the Paypal support team.

As paypal is our payment processor, any refused payment method would be because of them.
I realize that it is an unsatisfying answer, but it is the reality of the situation. Paypal’s support team should be able to give you more information.
That said, I am not seeing any failed transactions on your WordPress.com account. Were you using this user account when you attempted to pay? What was the exact wording of the error notice? Can you take a screenshot?
Here are some screenshot instructions if you are not familiar with the process:
I find http://snag.gy/ to be very useful for sharing screenshots. You can also upload the screenshot to your site’s media library. I will be able to see it there.

Thank you for your quick response.
I’ve just contacted paypal and also uploaded a screenshot of the error notice. However, it is in German since I am based in Austria…
It just basically says that I should pay via credit card. -
So, what may be happening is that Paypal wants you to have a credit card on the account, but will then allow you to pay with your balance. It has to do with how they set up reoccurring payments.
