Domain name meetliam.com needed

  To Whom It May Concern:
  I recently used your site briefly, but WordPress.com doesn’t have the available tools and resources for what I am working on. When I cancelled my service you kept my domain name ‘meetliam.com’, and will not release it until December 9, 2016. This creates somewhat of an inconvenience as I am trying to reach out to prospective companies through meetliam.com in order to create a better life for myself. I really like the domain name and would really like to have it. Would you be able to free up this name and make my Christmas : )

  Hi,

  Due to how domain registration works, we are not able to just ‘free up’ a domain name to be registered elsewhere. The domain registrar body ICANN specifically prohibits domain registrations from being transferred within the first 60 days of registration.

  The good news is, although your domain is registered with us, you can still use this domain with your external site. All you need to do is ask your external hosting service provider for their ‘nameservers’. When they give it to you, you can go to http://wordpress.com/my-domains -> Edit Domain -> Name Servers and add those to your domain.

  Within 72 hours of doing so, your domain will start loading your external site. You can transfer the domain registration after 60 days of its registration date or you can keep the domain here and renew it with us. As long as the domain has the correct nameservers, it will load the correct site that you want it to.
