Domain name not working on homepage
-
I just bought the domain name for my website 2 days ago, but now when I go on my website and click “home”, it redirects to my old domain link (with ___.wordpress.com) which doesn’t exist anymore instead of the main page. How do I fix this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @sisterrunway,
Good news! I checked your site at sisterrunway.com and it seems to be working with no redirection to ___.WordPress.com.
Try clearing your browser’s cache and see if it works.
Hope this helps!

Have you set your purchased domain as the primary domain? If not, everyone will see your site address as “___.wordpress.com”. Read this support document about it:
When you’re logged into your WordPress.com account and you’re not on a homepage/post/page view you’ll always see “___.wordpress.com” as your website address. Other’s will see only the domain name that you bought/mapped. No worries.

Thank you both for answering!
I have already set it as my primary domain, but each time I click the “home” tab on my blog, it still gets redirected to my old domain… I don’t want my followers to keep getting redirected to an error page each time they click the “home” tab on my blog..

Go to your Dashboard > Appearance > Menus and make a necessary change into the custom Home link. Remove http://chateaucollection.wordpress.com/ and replace it with http://sisterrunway.com/
