    Once I bought the domain,is the domain name own by me or wordpress permanently?
    Do I have the priority to continue using the domain in the 2nd year?
    If I don’t pay the domain fee to wordpress in the 2nd year , will you sell the domain to other users?
    I want to transfer the domain name registered by another company to wordpress blog, how much do I have to pay each year?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    1. Its owned by you, they are acting as a domain registrar for you
    2. Like any other registrar you will get warning of expiry and an option to renew.
    3. If you ignore the warning and it expires they hold it for a time (maybe a month I can’t remember) at which you can renew it at additional expense. After this it is released for anyone to buy.
    4. WordPress do not accept transfers in so you cannot transfer a domain to WordPress. However you can map a domain hosted elsewhere to a WordPress blog. This costs $13 per year to WordPress plus the fees to your current domain registrar.

    Owned by you – BUT you must renew the registration every year to keep use of the domain name

    Do I have the priority to continue using the domain in the 2nd year?

    you need to renew the registration every year for you to keep using it – if you fail to renew the registration then you loose the use of it – as long as you renew it nobody else can register that domain name

    If I don’t pay the domain fee to wordpress in the 2nd year , will you sell the domain to other users?

    The Registrar (not WordPress.COM) has several options if you don’t renew the domain name – sell it to someone, auction it off, just let it revert back to the wild for anyone to buy it, keep it for their own account

    WordPress.COM is not able to accept incoming domain name transfers – if you have a domain name registered not at WordPress.COM you must keep it registered not through WordPress.COM

    Domain name registration is currently $ 5.– / year for most domain names
