Domain name pointing

    Hi, I currently have the domain name lymetrailassociation.org pointing to lymehorsetrials.com. How do I disconnect the two? I would like to host them separately now that the Lyme Trail Association is ready to go live with their site. Thankyou! :)Lisa

    I’m happy to help.

    I see that http://www.lymetrailassociation.org/ is pointing to WildApricot now after Rachel helped you out earlier today while http://lymehorsetrials.com/ points to your WordPress.com site.

    Is there something different that you need? You may have still have seen the sites as connected since with DNS changes, it can take a little time for the update to become effective across the Internet. Basically, the way the Internet was built, cached versions of your domain’s records are all over the place, and takes anywhere from 2 to 12 hours, usually, for it to update Internet-wide. In some more unusual circumstances, it could take up to 72 hours, though I haven’t seen that happen in some time.
