Hello! I want to use a domain name ‘arjitfps.wordpress.com’ instead of my current free domain ‘arjitwsi.wordpress.com’? I am not able to change it as it keeps saying ‘domain name already reserved’? I think I did it when I tried to create a free wordpress blog with ‘arjitfps.wordpress.com’ but I don’t think that feature is available anymore so I tried to change my old arjitwsi blog but now it says it’s reserved but there isn’t any registered website for that URL(arjitfps.wordpress.com)? How do I change my domain name? Thanking you in advance.

When a WordPress.com account is created, we automatically reserve a matching site address for that username — which is why arjitfps.wordpress.com is showing as unavailable for use. Only the account owner will be able to use that address.
While it won’t be possible to use that exact address, you could choose a variation or looking at registering a custom domain using the first part of the address.

Hello! Thanks a lot for the help. So the arjitfps account is also mine, will I be able to modify my domain name from arjitwsi to arjitfps in my deafult account if I permanently close my arjitfps wordpress account?

You need to log in to the arjitfps account and register the arjitfps.wordpress.com address. Then you can transfer that address to the arjitwsi account by following these instructions:

Hey! Yeah I would like to register the arjitfps.wordpress.com for free, can you tell me how or post the link because whenever I try to do it lands up to the page showing the Blogger to eCommerce options but nowhere is the free wordpress option? Thanking you in advance.

It looks like https://arjitfps.wordpress.com/ has already been registered, by the account with the username,
arjitfps. That is the only account that has the ability to use this particular address, as once you register a username, the matching WordPress.com address is automatically reserved for you.To access that site you’ll need to be logged in as
