Domain Name Question

    I am trying to create a website with a business name. However, under the domain options I am not getting ‘mybusinessname.com’ as an option instead I am getting ‘mybusinessname.wordpress.com’. Now it i go to purchase lets say a premium plan, will WordPress allow me to switch from ‘mybusinessname.wordpress.com’ to ‘mybusinessname.com’. If so, how can I go about that? or does the ‘.wordpress.com’ get dropped as soon as I upgrade to a paid plan?

    Hello

    With a Personal, Premium or Business plan, you get the ability to have a custom domain in your site, meaning, you will be able to set it to mybusinessname.com. See this page for more details about plans: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    If you already own a domain, you can map it to your WordPress site as well. See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
