Domain Name Question

  I already have an existing site with a paid domain name. I’m creating version 2.0 and would like to do so on wordpress.com. If I start the new site with the free mydomain.wordpress.com can I change it to my paid domain at a later time when I’m ready for the site to go live?

  Hi,

  Sure thing, you can work on your site using the free .wordpress.com subdomain and upgrade and map or transfer your custom domain once you’re ready.
