Domain Name Question

  Hello, I have a domain name registered with Dream Host that I would like to use for a wordpress website I would like to create. Am I able to do that, or do I need to register a new domain name with WordPress in order to use your software to create a site?

  You can use your Dreamhost domain for a new site hosted on WordPress.com, yes.

  You can either point the domain to us via a process called domain mapping, or you can transfer it to us completely. Either option requires that you upgrade to one of our paid plans.
