    Have website hosted thru HostGator and need to pay my WordPress. Have a question about the way WordPress is showing my domain name

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    I’m a little confused. You don’t have any subscriptions under the account mydogwalker1, and you mentioned your site is hosted with Hostgator, which means you’re paying them for your hosting.

    To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and they are two different entities.

    We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.
