Domain Name Refund

    I signed up for a WordPress plan (I have since cancelled), but I already had bought a domain through GoDaddy. I was in the process of transferring it (but did not complete that process). I have been refunded for my plan I purchased, but was not refunded for the domain. I never needed a WordPress domain as I already had one purchased through GoDaddy. When purchasing the WordPress plan – it indicates the domain is included and didn’t give an option to purchase without the domain, so I just moved forward with it. But now I am unable to receive a full refund. I am requesting assistance in receiving a full refund. Thank you.

    Hi there,

    When you initiate a transfer, we need to leave it active on our end to ensure that the domain is not lost in limbo. After taking a closer look I can confirm the transfer does not appear to be active, so I have cancelled the remaining difference, which you can confirm here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/

    I can confirm that your site is using the https://womenwhoown.wordpress.com/ that we provide for all free sites. Are you trying to leave your domain at GoDaddy, but use it as the custom address for your WordPress site? It is possible to do this without actually moving the domain, and we’re happy to help with that.
