Domain name register cost/charges/fees

    Following on from a previous query. I wish to purchase a domain name to add to my blog. I have used the DN search facility on my admin’s Domain page and found several DN’s that I am interested in. This additional DN would be purchased via WordPress at a rate of £7.00 +VAT per year. What, if any, would be the charge/fee to have this new DN registered with WordPress and is it a one off fee/charge? Some people have advised me that I need to pay an annual registration fee on top of the annual purchase price of the DN. I cannot seem to find an answer to this anywhere.
