Domain name registration

    I don’t know if I should have WordPress take over my registration, or stay with GoDaddy. I’ve already paid for 3 yrs with GoDaddy as of the beginning of 2019. I guess I’m concerned about the money aspect but also whether it is the smartest to transfer a domain? What do you think and why? Many thanks for any help.

    Hi Andrea, domains here are $18/year including privacy. The first year would be included free with your plan.

    So at that point your domain, if you transferred, would have 4 years left on it.

    From there, the best value depends on whether it’s more important for you to have the domain with the same company as your hosting, for ease of management, or whether you’re fine keeping track of renewals and account information with two services. Sometimes folks will forget about renewing a domain if it’s been several years, especially if they haven’t kept their email address up to date with the domain provider.

    So the preference just depends on your needs and what not. Does that help?
