domain name remapping?

  • Unknown's avatar

Last week I created the domain laurenwinterdawson.com on my old WordPress blog account by mistake (lwinterd18.wordpress.com). I immediately cancelled the domain request, got my refund, and waited until the laurenwinterdawson.com name was available (by checking godaddy.com). Now I’m trying to add this domain to this blog, but I get this error message:
    Unable to map laurenwinterdawson.com

The domain laurenwinterdawson.com has already been registered on WordPress.com.

If it’s been registered (even though I got a refund for cancelling it), why can’t I get it on this blog? I still need to pay for the domain.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I am having the exact same issue with my domain marketingpantry.com

I have tried to contact support twice and no reply.

I upgraded before and refunded and now have the money to do it properly and would like to change marketingpantry.wordpress.com to marketingpantry.com

    Any help?

    Please & Thank You

  • seanpauldcu, you just need to add the domain via Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard, or if you want a bundle too, purchase the bundle from the Store section first and add the domain after purchase.

In the future, please start your own thread.

Sorry for adding to this thread.

I go to add domain and this comes up.

    “Unable to map marketingpantry.com

The domain marketingpantry.com has already been registered on WordPress.com. Please contact support if you would like to map this domain again.”
