Domain name renewal??

  Hi,
  My blog has gone down (northern lightpainters.com)
  Is it because my domain name has expired, if so where /how do I renew it, or is it because I need to renew the hosting? I have forgotten who I am registered with, do you know how I find out? Thanks, Amanda
  I need northern lightpainters.com, not .wordpress.com
