Domain name renewal

    I’ve just bought a custom domain name today (August 19, 2012) for a year, and yet on my upgrades page it says it automatically renews on July 20, 2013? Why isn’t it for a full year?

    You will have the full year – but the renewal happens 30 days before the registration expires in case the renewal fails (change in credit card info, old card canceled or any one of many reasons the renewal fails) – you then have 29 more days to address why the renewal did not succeed – that is to prevent your domain not working or you being charged extra fees to get your domain name out of redemption

    When renewal occurs it will just add 1 year to Aug 19, 2013 not July 20, 2013
