Domain name renewal

  Hi I got an email telling me my domain name is due for renewal. I moved over to Hostgator (unfortunately,) but they have charged me for the last year already. How do I ensure that I don’t lose my domain name please without having to pay both of you?

  Hi there,

  So the site is hosted with Hostgator, but the domain is hosted with us. You will continue to have to pay for both the domain and the site hosting – it is just a matter of whether or not you want the domain hosted at Hostgator as well. That way you’d have the domain and the site hosted at the same place. However, either way, both domain and site hosting will need to be paid for.

  I actually moved the domain to HG or so I thought, it’s there under domains in my billing area. I can’t contact WordPress.com customer service as i;m not on a plan. Sorry for my late reply, thanks for your help.

  What is the domain name you’re referring to?

  risqueviews.com is on your account here now, but registered with HostGator.

  I assume that’s what you’re referring to, but just want to be sure before we take care of that. :)
