domain name rights?

I ordered my domain from goDaddy, then a representative helped me to transfer the domain to WordPress. Now that I am cancelling WordPress I would still like to keep my domain, so how do I transfer my domain back to the one I am paying for from Go daddy? Or does it transfer automatically?

Hi there,
The WordPress.com account you’re contacting us from never owned a domain. So, what’s your domain name so I can have a look and further help you?
-
Seekersmagicacademy.com
I started it in 2020… and been paying godaddy for two years on it.
Is this qorking like this because I am closing the website down and there isn’t anything in it right now?

The domain
seekersmagicacademy.comis still registered at GoDaddy – all that was done previously was change your domain nameservers to point to WordPress.com, which is not the same as a domain transfer. Also, while you upgraded your WordPress.com site
seekersmagicacademy.wordpress.comto Premium, the domain was never mapped here, so aside from cancelling your plan and deleting the site, there’s nothing you need to do here. You would just need to change your domain nameservers away from WordPress.com to your new hosting or change it back to GoDaddy’s default nameservers. Either way you need to do that from your GoDaddy dashboard.
I hope that clarifies things!
