Domain Name still shows wordpress address after switching

  Hi There,
  I used the Domain Mapping Tool and bought the credits to switch from http://tranxnz.wordpress.com/ to http://tranx.org.nz.
  Now when I type http://tranx.org.nz it will show the blog but it switches the name back to http://tranxnz.wordpress.com/ in the web address field instead of keeping the tranx.org.nz name?

  What needs changing?

  Check the steps in the FAQ here. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/10/domain-mapping/ In particular, pay close attention to this:

  Your domain should then appear as a choice below that button. Next to the domain name it will say “Put blog here”. Click that.

  I suspect you may have it backwards

  Hi vivianpage, thanks for that.

  If we wanted to can we transfer our account over to wordpress.org in the future after downloading the software? If yes, where do I need to check for the procedures to switch from one to the other?
