Domain name taken

    We recently paid for our domain name through WordPress, I have the invoice, but now someone else owns it, a third party. It is not displaying our site. Can someone help? I’ve contacted wordpress and I’m not hearing back from them. Our site is down and I don’t know what to do!!!!

    Hello!

    I’ve tagged a MODLOOK as they can better access all of your account details.

    Looking at the site, it leads me to “Beaverton MOPS & MOMSnext
    A Ministry of St. Matthew Lutheran Church”. Is this not correct? I see on there comments from back in 2015, and a reply from you on there on July 21, 2017, so it doesn’t look like your actual site is down.

    What are you seeing when you go to your site?

    Hi there,

    The only upgrade in your account is a domain mapping upgrade for the domain, beavertonmops.com. That upgrade has been on our system since 2013, and was recently transferred to your account from another account.

    The domain itself, however, is not registered with WordPress.com. That domain is registered at publicdomainregistry.com, and based on the Whois data has been with them since 2004.

    If there is an issue with the domain’s ownership you’ll need to contact publicdomainregistry.com about that, as they are the registrar, not us.
