domain name transfer

I have transferred my domain to wordpress, but now it’s asking me to do so again. Do I have to wait 24 hours to start to build my website, or can I start and wait for this to catch up?

The domain transfer will process in a few days from the date of initiation. However I have tagged this post for a confirmed staff advise.
In the meanwhile, will you be able to share the url for the domain you are transferring to WordPress.com? This will help the staff assist you more efficiently.
In addition you can also try the following:
1. Please check the email address on your Account Settings (including the spam folder) page for an activation email and click the link it contains.
2. If you are here for a domain transfer, it is likely you have an upgrade WordPress.com plan. In which case you are eligible for live chat support here:

Noting too, I actually don’t see a domain transfer initiated here.
I do see a domain mapping, but the name servers have not been updated yet. Here’s how to do that:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/You’re welcome to transfer the domain after that too if you’d like your billing in one place.
