  Hi, I wish to design and create a draft new website BEFORE arranging the domain name transfer. Can I do this? Thank you.

  Hi serviceconnectionsltd,

  Absolutely! You start by creating a free site (no custom domain), adding content and choosing a theme etc. The domain can be transferred to WordPress.com when you are ready to make the switch.

  If you need to upgrade in order to access upgraded features like additional storage space, custom CSS or unlimited premium themes etc before then, the domain credit included in the plan can be left unused until a later date.
