Domain Name Transfer

    I’m building a site for a school, we already have an active domain, currently being hosted by SchoolSpeak. I’m trying to figure out the best way to build a premium site without disrupting the current site. What is the best way to get started? I want access to all of the upgrades with a paid account but I don’t want to transfer the domain to WordPress yet.

    No problem. You’re welcome to stage your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready.

    Start by creating your site with the plan of your choice:
    https://wordpress.com/plans

    And then just avoid using the custom domain options until you’re ready. You’ll get a site at a free address until then.
