I want to purchase mapping for mslr.org.uk but this domain name is registered elsewhere and will be transferred once a mapping account has been set up. Is this the way to proceed by ordering the mapping service first? We don’t know how to go about transferring this domain name to WordPress.com

WordPress.COM is not set up to accept incoming domain name transfers, so your domain name will need to stay not registered here – so just go ahead and do the domain mapping – see below – remember – once the mapping is done and the name servers changed there will be a bit of time while changes migrate across the internet and access to your site will be erratic ( changes start in a few hours but can take 24 to 72 hours to go all the way around the internet)
