Domain name transfer

  I’ve contacted the user of a certain inactive wordpress.com domain name I want to use. Is it possible for them to transfer the name to me? Or would they need to delete the blog to free up the name?

  DON’T delete the blog – the name will then be gone forever even from the original owner.

  They can transfer the domain to you – try searching on Transfer in the support Documents
