domain name transfer

  I purchased my expiring domain name (balancebio.com) with godaddy and completed the steps for a transfer but it is not transferring.
  Is there a step I missed with wordpress?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I’ve purchased my expiring wordpress domain name with godaddy and completed the steps for the transfer process. The domain balancebio.com is not transferring, is there a step that I missed?

  Hi Lori!

  It looks like your domain balancebio.com was successfully transferred to GoDaddy. I went ahead and removed the domain mapping upgrade from your WordPress.com account. It looks like the name servers are pointed to your GoDaddy hosting as well so the domain should start to load your GoDaddy site within the next several hours.

  Since you’re moving to a self-hosted site, would you also like me to remove the Premium bundle from your account?

  I’m still forwarding all domains to balancebiomechanics.wordpress.com, is that my self-hosted site?
  Yes remove the premium bundle, I didn’t find anything that was worth the upgrade for me.

  Hi!

  Just to make sure we’re on the same page, you transferred your domain (balancebio.com) to GoDaddy so you could setup a self-hosted WordPress.org site. Is that correct?

  If so, you’ll want to point your domain to your GoDaddy hosting, not to your WordPress.com site. At GoDaddy, you’ll want to install WordPress.org software onto your host. Then, you can follow the steps here to bring your content at balancebiomechanics.wordpress.com to your self-hosted site:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org

  Can you give those steps a look and let me know if you have any questions?

  I’m not using WordPress.org only WordPress.com.
  I now see balancebio.com as my site but when I click to see stats from that address, I get an error page. I can’t even click to my dashboard if I go through balancebio.com.

  Hi!

  It looks like balancebio.com isn’t quite setup yet on the WordPress.com side. Right now, it looks like you’re using a redirect of some sort from your registrar to point the site to WordPress.com. For the stats to work correctly, you’ll need to follow the instructions here to map the domain at WordPress.com:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  There are two basic steps:

  1. Purchasing the upgrade at WordPress.com

  2. Changing the name servers of your domain to point to WordPress.com

  Both are outlined in the support doc above. Can you give that a shot?
