Domain name transfer

    Hi,
    I have another website operated with Jimdo, and I would like to close it and redirect the domain name associated with it towards my new wordpress websit, which has another domain name.
    I did a domain mapping as advised by wp, but Jimdo told me they cannot redirect the servers towards wp.
    Does anyone know what I should do?

    Hi

    Can you contact them and ask them if they are able to add the WordPress.com nameservers? If your domain is registered with them, they should be able to change your domain’s nameservers. The WordPress.com nameservers are:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    You can request your domain registrar’s assistance in adding these to your domain. When they are added, within 72 hours the domain will start loading your WordPress.com site.

    If they are unable to change the domain’s nameservers, you may need to transfer your domain to another registrar that supports the use of custom nameservers. You cannot transfer the domain to WordPress.com as we do not support incoming domain registration transfers.
