Domain Name Transfer

  I’m looking at starting up a blog with the Personal plan. It includes a custom domain name. Sometime in the future if I want to move my site to another host, can I move the domain name with it or does WordPress.com ‘keep’ it and I have to get a new one?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Just to confirm, when you register a domain through us, it’s your property, so you can point it to a different host or you can move it to a different registrar completely.

  The only restriction on this is that you can’t transfer a domain during the first 60 days after registration. This is an ICANN regulation and all domain registrars have to follow it.
